Any updates on converting the stock Epiphone Casino P90 chrome covers to black plastic? I too have purchased a 2018 Casino Coupe and love the pickups. Has Epiphone been changing the way they makes theses? They seem better than ever. Anyhow, I have ordered a pair of inexpensive ($1.86) Asian metric black plastic P90 covers for aliexpress. CASINO P90 DOG EAR, SINGLE COIL GOLD PICK UP COVERS for Epiphone Casino style guitars. Each pick up cover has curved base to fit the arch top of the guitar body. Available in 2 sizes, Bridge and Neck, buy as a pair or individually. Please use the drop down selector to choose your pick up combination.

I have other guitars with humbucker, P90 or single coils and the Casino is easily the dullest/boomiest sounding. I realise that some of this is the hollow body resonance but it still seems extreme. I can't get plastic covers to replace the metal ones as the Casino neck dogear has narrow string spacing. Facet Value P90/P90/P90 (1) P90/P90/P90 (1) Facet Value H (7) H. P-90 Single Coil Pickup

Legendary Tone

First introduced in the early 1950s, Gibson's legendary P90 single coil pickup produced a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Today, the P90's traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians. Known by such familiar nicknames as the 'Soapbar' and the 'Cobalt,' the P90 still cuts through any type of music, all while displaying amazing tonal sensitivity for everything from blues and rock to mellow jazz riffs. It's perfect as a vintage replacement, and features vintage, braided two-conductor wiring. It's also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of unwanted microphonic feedback.
